INDECOPI proceedings
Seven requirements imposed by INDECOPI on complainants declared unlawful
INDECOPI's Bureaucratic Barriers Commission (CEB), in Resolution 0316-2026/CEB-INDECOPI, declared unlawful seven requirements that the agency itself imposed in its administrative proceedings.
They include requiring complainants to pay for publishing administrative decisions in the official gazette El Peruano or a national newspaper, and requiring sworn statements showing they had exhausted efforts to locate the respondent supplier, while also agreeing to pay for notice by publication if the supplier could not be found.
Why it matters: the decision aims to reduce costs and obstacles for consumers and businesses filing complaints with INDECOPI.
